Arrowhead field was a mess for the Border War showdown.
12-05-2008 SI: ARROWHEAD FIELD ONE OF NFL'S WORST In its Dec. 8 edition, Sports Illustrated says NFL players have ranked Arrowhead Stadium's playing field as the fifth worst playing surface in the National Football League. That should come as no surprise to fans who saw the awful condition of the field during the recent "Border War" showdown between Kansas and Missouri. In an "SI Players NFL Poll" the worst surface listed was Heinz Field in Pittsburgh followed by the Raiders, Eagles and Dolphins fields. A week earlier the players were asked the best surfaces and the Cardinals' University of Phoenix stadium was listed number one followed by the Bucs, Seahawks, Dolphins and Texans fields.
