FOSTER NAMED DIGITAL MEDIA MANAGER AT KMBC
Brian Foster, who most recently was Assistant News Director at WSYR-TV in Syracuse, has been named Digital Media Manager for KMBC.com, according to an announcement by the station.

“We believe Brian Foster is a great fit for KMBC.com,” said Sherrie Brown, KMBC 9 news director. “We look forward to benefiting from the strong journalistic skills, new ideas and experience he brings to our newsroom.”
During his tenure at WSYR-TV, Foster helped lead NewsChannel 9 to #1 rankings in nearly every newscast. He was also instrumental in more than doubling visits to the station website, 9WSYR.com.
At WSYR he was recognized by winning a prestigious national Edward R. Murrow Award for “best local television website” in America.
"It's been a dream of mine to work at a station like KMBC-TV that embraces 21st Century journalism,” said Foster. Their investment in innovative news gathering tools provides real-time content to local users and viewers. That's exactly what people want and need today.
"KMBC 9 News and KMBC.com are models for how today's newsrooms should operate, and I'm excited to be a part of their future."
