Jeff Flanagan

Summary: It's official.  The Kansas City Star's Jeffrey Flanagan is reporting in his popular "Top of the Mornin'" column that Damon Amendolara has landed at a radio station in Miami.  In the process Amendolara jumped 20 spots higher in the radio market from KC (32) to Miami (12).     01-17-2008

DA officially in

Damon Amendolara, who was let go by KCSP last month, made it official this week: He signed a deal with WQAM in Miami to be its night-time host.

The DA Show rides again, Amendolara said. My first show will be next Tuesday.

And good news for all the loyal listeners in KC who have contacted me over the past month: Well be streaming live on the Web at WQAM.com. Ill keep my Web site ( www.theDAshow.com) constantly updated (too).

DA heading to Miami?
SUMMARY: As predicted here, it looks as if the talented sports talker Damon Amendolara will be moving into the much larger Miami radio market at WQAM-560 after being abruptly terminated by KCSP-610. The Star's Jeffrey Flanagan has the story in his "Top of the Mornin" column.  01-06-2008

KC radio guy could be headed to Florida
Former KCSP talker Damon Amendolara appears close to landing a new gig with sports-talk station WQAM in Miami. Amendolara, who was let go by KCSP last month, had worked previously at WQAMs sister station in Fort Myers, Fla.
Ive been in talks with Miami at WQAM for their night-time shift, 9 p.m. to midnight, Amendolara told me. Its being reported that Ive been hired, but I have yet to sign anything.
I have an offer in front of me, but we are still in the back-and-forth on a portion of things. It would be a cool deal, including pregame and postgame duties on the Dolphins Radio Network.
