KCFX DOMINATES RATINGS; LOGJAM AT SECOND PLACE
Kansas City's classic rock station KCFX-FM, "The FOX," increased its lead in the race for Kansas City's radio ratings supremacy in August, and it now looks like the fight will be for second place with three other stations tied for second place.
KCFX, a Cumulus Partners station, recorded a strong 7.5 Portable People Meter (PPM) rating for weekdays--its highest rating in 2010.

It should be noted the ratings represent a wide demographic of listeners age 6-plus and provides a good snapshot of overall listenership.  However, for sales purposes stations often break out specific demographics.
KCFX had previously held down the second spot for three straight months to rival KQRC.
However, active rock Entercom station KQRC saw its ratings drop more than a full point from 7.0 to 5.9, tying it with KCMO-FM and urban station KPRS for second place at 5.9. Wilks' country station KFKF was in fifth at 5.8.
In sports talk radio WHB dropped from a 4.4 rating in June to 3.8 in July.  However, rival KCSP continued to barely tread water by notching its third straight month flat at 2.7.

NOTE: We no longer print the Arbitron ratings after being reported to Arbitron by an afternoon sports talk show host.

NICK WRIGHT CLARIFIES??
"Once again, you're lying. I didn't contact Arbitron about you. I simply, as a courtesy, alerted you that you had been reported to Arbitron. But I didn't do the reporting. I'm sure you won't correct the record, because you're not the type that cares about accuracy, but I thought you should know."

"Nick needs to worry about himself. The USS 610 sports is sinking fast."
"Courteous? He sounds more like a little bitch! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

NICK WRIGHT'S CREDIBILITY

"When did I say it was someone at my station?  Regardless, I was doing you a favor.  But if you want to keep this petty feud going that's fine with me.  It's pointless, but that's up to you.
"I'm pretty confident with where I stand--in terms or relevance and credibility--in this town compared to you."  ---Nick
