Update: 03-12-2008 There has been considerable confusion over Holly Starr's background. Her modeling agency lists her as being 25 years-old, but in reality she is 30. She attended Chinn Elementary and Plaza Middle School in Parkville under the name Holly Starr Eckley, but later legally changed her name to simply "Holly Starr." And, yes, she did star in the famous 1993 movie "Prehistoric Bimbos in Armageddon City" by KC film maker Todd Sheets.

The search for a replacement for Meredith Hoenes, who began hosting shows on on KMCI-TV38 The Spot in 2004, has ended with the hiring of model and actress Holly Starr. Her station biography: A product of the Kansas City Northland, Holly Starr has been involved in the entertainment industry since the age of 12. Her smile graces the covers of magazines, calendars, and even Hallmark greeting cards. She has worked in local and national TV commercials, print ads, live runway modeling, and roles in various films and television. While in college, Holly was encouraged by her local talent agency to pursue her career further and signed with an agency in Hollywood. Dear Bottom Line:
I just wanted to respond to the feedback on Holly. I have known Holly for eight years and my opinion of her continues to be one of that of a sweet, intelligent girl and good friend.
Over the eight years I have known Holly, I have found her to be strong in faith, an animal lover and one that will help friends and people in need. I could care less what Holly has done (B rated movies). I think what determines someone's worth is how they treat others and who they are as a person on the inside. Yes, Holly is a beautiful girl, but she is beautiful on the inside too.
It saddens me because in 2008, we still refer to a women's only worth in her measurements and age. Who cares if Holly is 30 or 31...does that really matter. Let her work speak for itself. I don't think you will be disappointed if you give her the chance she deserves. Lighten up people...there are more important issues than Holly, her age and background.
