02-20-2009 JOURNALISTS START NEW 'HENRY WIGGEN' BLOG The former managing editor of the Kansas City Kansan and a journalism instructor at Park University have joined forces to start "The Henry Wiggen Blog"--that discusses sports, local and national journalism, Kansas City "and everything in between." Matt Kelsey, who was laid off when the Kansan dropped its print edition last month, has joined forces with John Lofflin, his former journalism prof, to produce an interesting (and well-written) blog. The blog's odd name--Henry Wiggen--is based on the fictional narrator of the novels "The Southpaw," "Bang the Drum Slowly" and "A Ticket for a Seamstitch." It's worth a look: www.henrywiggen.blogspot.com.
