01-25-2010 AD CAMPAIGN REACHES OUT TO FOLKS FOLLOWING AN ABORTION The non-profit group "Project Rachel" (LINK) is rolling out billboard and radio advertising in the Kansas City area designed (anonymously) by one of the area's leading advertising executives. The campaign is designed to bring awareness of the issues women (and men) sometimes experience following an abortion. Project Rachel is a ministry sponsored by the Catholic Dioceses of Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City - St. Joseph, Missouri. It is intended to help anyone, regardless of faith, who has had an abortion, whether recent or many years ago. Radio spots designed to reach 42% of women 18-plus in the Kansas City metro area are scheduled to begin today. The schedule includes 3 radio stations, and 3 weeks of advertising on each of the 3 stations: KCKC-FM (Star 102.1FM/Adult Contemporary), KFKF-FM (94.1FM/Country) and KMXV-FM (Mix 93.3FM/Contemporary Hit Radio).
