FOX4's Edwards Gets Two Plugs.
FOX-4'S EDWARDS STRIKES MOVIE GOLD
In movie circles he is known as the "Quote Whore" and WDAF-FOX4's movie reviewer Shawn Edwards does everything he can do to get his name attached to movies by providing glowing reviews and spouting off key words that work well in promotions.
Edwards has struck gold these days as his quote and name are used TWICE in one trailer for Will Smith's new movie "I Am Legend" that will be released December 14.  An Edwards' quote of "Exhilarating!" and then another "Entertaining!" are both blasted on the screen with Edwards' name and then identified with "Fox-TV."
Studios frequently pull positive quotes from any virtually any source to hype movies, but Edwards gets extra play because they want to give the impression the Fox Network is behind the movie, not just some Kansas City reviewer at a local Fox station. 12-09-2007
