12-16-2009/12-31-2009 DID INFAMOUS BRETT F-BOMB INTERVIEW UNELL TO BE SUBBING ON KSHB SPORTS Justin Unell has been at KSHB-TV41 for nearly five years, but even now when he appears on camera viewers often want to know who the "new guy" is doing sports. From now until Jan. 2 viewers will be seeing more of Unell, who normally works as a sports producer for the 6 and 10 p.m. broadcasts. He will be handling some anchoring duties as veteran Jack Harry takes some time off over the holidays. Unell is probably most famous for his interview of former Kansas City Royal Hall of Famer George Brett in May, where Brett unleashed a torrent of f-bombs over a simple question regarding Royals Coach Trey Hillman. Before joining the NBC affiliate in 2005 Unell worked at KQTV in St. Joseph, MO for two years. He is a broadcast journalism graduate from the University of Southern California.
