01-14-2010 WEEKEND METEOROLOGIST GEORGE WALDENBERGER JOINS KSHB George Waldenberger, who most recently was with KJRH-TV in Tulsa, has been named weekend meteorologist at KSHB, according an announcement by station News Director Peggy Phillip. He will be on the air January 19. “George is an energetic, committed and enthusiastic forecaster who is excited to join Kansas City’s most accurate weather team,” said Phillip. Waldenberger comes to NBC Action News, Kansas City's NBC affiliate, from KJRH-TV where he served as a meteorologist for the Scripps-owned affiliate for about two years. Prior to joining KJRH-TV, he worked as a meteorologist in Sioux City, Iowa, and weather producer in Los Angeles. Waldenberger, who grew up in Wisconsin, earned his Master's degree in Atmospheric Science from UCLA.
