02-11-2010 WLS IN CHICAGO FIRES 'MANCOW' MULLER Erich "Mancow" Muller, 44, whose radio career was launched in Warrensburg, MO. and later at KLSI-FM in Kansas City, has been dumped at WLS-AM 890 in Chicago after 16 months, according to the Chicago Tribune's Phil Rosenthal. Muller will continue to do his separate syndicated morning show heard on stations around the country. "There's no rhyme or reason to this business," Muller told the Huffington Post. "I've stopped trying to figure it out. I thought we were doing a great show. I think it had a lot of interesting elements, and I'm proud of the show we did." He was on just 27 months after his Chicago-based "Mancow's Morning Madhouse" lost its home station of eight years, Emmis Communications' WKQX-FM 101.1. According to Rosenthal, Muller, who is best known in KC for his ugly on-and-off-air battles with former radio star Randy Miller,"was too loud and too raucous to fit with anything else on the Citadel Broadcasting talker."
