CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE USES PROP KIDS?
The Pitch's Justin Kendall has already uncovered some silliness in the Kansas Third District Congressional race by pointing out that Republican candidate Kevin Yoder is airing a commercial showing his loving wife and darling kids frolicking through a cornfield.
However, as Kendall points out, Yoder and his wife, Brooke, have no children. In the past Kendall reports Yoder has even brought in a prop dog for his spots.
The slick commercial is actually quite humorous with its slogan of people being "Yoder Voters" with Yoder's wife giving a touching endorsement of him. Yoder himself delivers a sincere teleprompter message that Washington needs someone like him to "cut spending" and "fight tax increases."

In all fairness, Yoder never actually claims the children are his.  It is quite possible the kids just startted follow he and his wife as they went out to do their farm chores.

TROUBLING INNUENDO
"I wouldn't say this was "false advertising" but the innuendo is extremely troubling to me. The spot should be pulled or re-shot without the kids in my opinion.
"No wonder we can't trust politicians. Of course, platitudes like "cut spending" and "fight tax increases" don't help either. He needs a new campaign manager."  ---- Mike T.
