Aaron Barnhart
AARON BARNHART CREATES TRIBUTE SITE
FOR DEPARTING KC STAR EMPLOYEES
Kansas City Star TV columnist Aaron Barnhart has created a Web site where folks can go and say their goodbyes to Kansas City Star staffers who were recently laid off.
His site is at: http://farewell.tvbarn.com/.  So far the only person highlighted on there is Paul Horsley, the Star's music critic.
Here is his explanation for creating the site:
"This website exists as a forum for readers and employees of the Kansas City Star to say their goodbyes to those Star employees let go June 16, 2008, as part of a companywide restructuring.

"...One hundred and twenty people. That's a lot of people to say goodbye to all at once. On June 16, 2008, we were informed that our newspaper, and all the others owned by the McClatchy Company, would be laying off employees, 10 percent of the total company workforce in all. At the Star, that totalled about 120 people from every division."
