KPRS KEEPS ITS RATINGS LEAD IN FIRST SPRING BOOK The first part of the Spring 2008 radio ratings are out (Feb., March, April) and any thoughts of KFKF-FM knocking off perennial leader KPRS-FM never materialized. (See: Winter Radio Ratings Out) In fact, while Carter Broadcast Group's KPRS saw its ratings increase from 5.8 to 6.0 during the ratings period, KFKF saw its plummet from 5.7 to 4.9. KFKF, a Wilks-owned country station, dropped from the second spot to fifth. Moving up from the fourth spot in the Winter ratings to second was KQRC (active rock) at 5.5 followed by (news/talk) KMBZ-980AM (5.4) and its (adult contemporary) KUDL (4.9). KQRC, KMBZ and KUDL are all owned by Entercom. In sports talk Union Broadcasting's WHB-810 AM stayed in 13th place in the ratings with a 3.5 share, while rival KCSP-610 moved from the 20th spot to 19 at 1.5. 06-09-2008
