KCTV5'S TOM WAIT MOVING TO WXYZ-TV IN DETROIT Tom Wait, who joined KCTV5 as a general assignment reporter in December 2005, has taken a new position at WXYZ-TV7, Detroit's highest rated news station. Detroit is the 11th largest TV market in the U.S. (KC is 31). Prior to joining TV5 Wait worked at News 12 Bronx as a weekend anchor and reporter where he anchored the 2004 presidential election coverage. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkley and has a Master's in journalism in New York University. He is a native of Claremont, CA.
